Screendragon empowers administrators to efficiently manage timesheet submissions and approval workflows by enabling proxy operations. Proper configuration ensures seamless delegation and streamlined timesheet processing across the organization.
The Timesheet Approvals module in Screendragon provides administrators with tools to manage proxy submission and approval delegation. It consists of two functions:
- Proxy Submission: Allows administrators to act on behalf of users to complete and submit timesheets.
- Assign Approval Proxy: Enables assigning proxy approvers for system users to facilitate approval workflows.
Proxy Submission
This tab enables the administrator to access and complete timesheets on behalf of system users.

- Save the timesheet for later completion
Accessing User Timesheet Pending Approvals
If a user has submitted a timesheet for your approval, you can access it with the following steps:
- Navigate to the user profile located on the main menu page.
- Click Approve Timesheets.
- Select the timesheet period you are going to approve.
- Click the check-box next to the user's name open activate the timesheet.
- Click Approve to approve the timesheet and send it to payroll.
- Click Reject to reject the submitted timesheet.
Add Projects to Timesheet approvals
- From the main menu, navigate to the Admin Tools icon.
- Then, navigate to Timesheet Manager.
- Choose from the list of available users, or click the Filter to find the user you want.
- Click Actions. Then click Alter Timesheet.
- Select a project to add by clicking the + button next to the projects.
- Use the filter to search for projects associated with the timesheet user and select the project you want to add.
- Enter hours to the project on behalf of the person for each day on the timesheet worked.
- Confirm by clicking Save Timesheet.
Adding Events
You can add events to a user's timesheet and enter hours associated with the event.
- Navigate to Events and click the + icon.
- Browse the list of events and choose what you want to include.
- Enter hours in the days where the event applies.
- Click Save Timesheet to store the current progress. Saved timesheets can be revisited and edited later before submission.
Assign Approval Proxy
This section allows the system administrator to delegate approval responsibilities to proxy approvers for specific users.

Adding a Proxy Approver
- From the timesheet, click Assign Proxy.
- Click the Assign User field to search for the person you want. You can add multiple
- Enter a note for the proxy assignment, if desired.
- Click Save to establish the assignment.
Editing Proxy Assignments
To update the proxy approver details, select a user from the dropdown list and select a corresponding proxy approver from the Proxy User dropdown list.
- Locate the existing proxy assignment by navigating to Admin Tools > Timesheet Manager > Assign Approval Proxy.
- Click Actions.
- Click Edit.
- Modify the user or proxy approver details as needed.
- Click Save.
Deleting Proxy Assignments
- Navigate to the Action icon.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm deletion if prompted.
Update Proxy Details
- To modify an existing assignment, select a user from the Proxy User drop-down.
- Choose a new Proxy User from the corresponding drop-down.
- Save the updated information.
Additional Notes
Screendragon supports filtering for efficient project and event selection.
Proxy assignments facilitate flexible and delegated approval processes.
All modifications to proxy assignments are immediately effective upon saving.
