Filters in the Screendragon Resource Planner are essential tools that enhance the user experience by allowing users to refine and customize their view of resource information. Users can focus on specific data points by applying filters, such as project assignments, skill sets, availability, or team member roles. This capability streamlines the planning process, enabling managers and team leaders to make informed decisions quickly.

The following are some of the filter types available to users.

Project Bookings

The Project Bookings allow users to see only the project teams they have permission to view.

Project Status

This allows you to filter on a specific status of a project. (Example: IS or IS NOT Active.)

Pencils

Select to include any bookings that have been penciled in.

Role

The Role filter allows you to specify and filter resources based on their designated roles within the organization or project (e.g., Project Manager, Designer, Developer).

Name

The Name filter enables users to search for resources by their names. It is handy when looking for a specific individual, allowing you to quickly locate a team member's details, availability, or bookings without having to scroll through the entire list of resources.

Groups

The Groups filter allows you to group resources based on predefined user groups, such as departments or teams within the organization.

Project Team

The Project Team filter lets you narrow down resources based on specific teams associated with certain projects. It can quickly locate project team members, facilitating better communication and collaboration by ensuring the right people are considered for assignments or discussions.

Client Experience

Client Experience helps identify resources with specific experience working on projects for certain clients.

Expertise

The Expertise filter enables users to select resources based on their particular skills or areas of proficiency. By filtering for expertise, managers can apply the right skill sets to projects, guaranteeing that the most qualified personnel handles complex tasks.

Office Location

The Office Location filter allows users to group resources by their physical office locations. This is particularly useful for managing geographically diverse teams, as it helps to identify local resources that might be available for on-site work or those needing to coordinate across different time zones.

Sector Experience

The Sector Experience filter highlights resources with experience in specific industry sectors. This ensures the team members have relevant background knowledge for particular projects, increasing the likelihood of successful project execution.

As you apply additional filters to the planner, the count of active filters will be displayed next to the "Add Filter" button. Click the number to view all the applied filters.

Click Apply to activate all the filters you have selected.
